What happens to your money when you can't race, when the club cancels or changes an event, and how account credit works.
If you can't race
If your club allows it, you can withdraw from My race day; otherwise contact the club. What happens to the fee depends on the club's terms: it may refund you to your card, give you credit with the club, give you a choice of the two, or decide each case itself.
A withdrawn entry gives up its race number at that event, and the place goes to the first driver on the reserve list.
Tip: Not paid yet? An unpaid online entry is released on its own after one hour.
When the club cancels or changes an event
If you paid online, you get an email with a link to Choose how you get your money back. The options can be:
- Keep my entry
- Only when the event was changed rather than cancelled: nothing is refunded and you stay entered.
- Refund to my card
- Back to the card you paid with. It can take a few days to show. If you didn't pay by card online, the club pays you back itself.
- Keep it as credit
- Credit with that club only, to spend on a later entry or membership there.
Choose and press Confirm. You have 14 days. With no answer, a changed event keeps your entry; for a cancelled event the money goes back to your card (or the club pays it back).
Using account credit
Credit stays with the club that gave it and can only be spent there. If your club lets you spend it when you pay online, it is offered there; otherwise ask the club to use it: reception can take payment from your credit, for example when you check in.
