What we offer

Everything to run a karting club, in one system.

From the timing laptop at the circuit to the club website and the championship table, here is what GT Motorsport does.

Timing

Timing that keeps running at the circuit

A Windows timing app and local timing service on the laptop, with no internet needed to run a session.

  • Desktop timing app

A Windows timing app for the timekeeper: sessions, grids, laps, penalties, results and points, run from the laptop at the circuit.

  • Works offline

Timing data lives on the laptop. Results wait in an outbox and go up to the cloud when the connection comes back, so a dropped signal never stops a session.

  • Local timing service

A timing engine on the laptop itself that reads the decoder, combines photocell and transponder crossings, and feeds the start line, race control and the paddock screen.

  • Chronelec decoders

Chronelec decoders connect today. Every decoder sits behind one driver interface, so the rest of the system works the same whatever the loop hardware. MyLaps, RaceResult and TAG Heuer decoders are coming soon.

  • Photo finish

Pictures from network (ONVIF) cameras on the line, for the close ones.

Race day

Race control for every official

A starter console, CIK race lights, race control for the clerk and stewards, decision PDFs and a paddock screen.

  • Starter console

Flags, boards for each kart and messages, on the starter’s phone or tablet. It runs from the timing laptop, so it works with the internet down.

  • CIK race lights

On-screen lights for rolling starts and standing starts, with false start and cancel. Lights out starts the session in timing.

  • Race control app

An app for the clerk of the course and the stewards: report incidents against a kart, record decisions and see each session as it runs. Officials sign in with a PIN.

  • Decisions as PDFs

Clerk and steward decisions filled into decision sheets with the regulation, licence details and signatures. Drivers see their own decisions in their account.

  • Paddock TV screen

What is on track, what is next, how the day is running against the timetable, messages and the weather, on any screen in the paddock.

  • HL 980 running-order boards

Drives TAG Heuer HL 980 boards from the timing laptop: the session status, class, time left, the next class and the running order.

Live timing

Live timing for everyone watching

A live board, a view for each driver, a track map and the weather, on any phone.

  • Spectator board

Positions, laps, gaps and best laps on any phone or screen, as the session runs.

  • Driver view

Pick a kart number and follow that one driver: laps, position and gaps.

  • Track map

The karts moving round the circuit, at venues with a track map.

  • Weather

Current conditions at the circuit alongside the timing.

  • Overlays and broadcast API

Timing overlays for a live stream, and an API for broadcast partners with scoped access keys (OAuth2 client credentials).

Results

Results and championships, published from timing

Provisional and official result sheets as PDFs, penalties, points, championships and standings.

  • Result sheets

A4 PDF result sheets marked provisional or official (with a version number), carrying the club’s logo, nationality flags, penalties, decisions and signature boxes.

  • Penalties

Time and position penalties, exclusions and disqualifications applied in timing and shown on the sheet.

  • Championship points

Points worked out from results, so standings follow each meeting without a spreadsheet.

  • Championships and standings

Public championship tables for each club, plus lap records.

Entries

Online entries, paid and checked

Online entries with card payments, class and age rules, race numbers, transponders, extras and reserve lists.

  • Entries with payments

Drivers enter online and pay by card through the club’s own Square or Stripe account, with confirmations and receipts by email.

  • Age and class rules

Class age limits, licence and membership requirements, and a limit on classes per driver. Age limits are always enforced at Motorsport UK permit events.

  • Race numbers

Number ranges per class (or one number across every class), with season reservations for members whose membership allows it and numbers kept by last year’s champions.

  • Transponders

Each driver keeps their own MyLaps and TAG Heuer transponder numbers. Clubs can hire out transponders from their own pool.

  • Extras

Sell tyres, fuel, transponder hire and other items with the entry.

  • Reserve lists

When a class is full, drivers join a reserve list and move up automatically when a place frees up.

Members

One account for drivers and their families

Competitor and guardian accounts, memberships, households, family discounts and following clubs.

  • Competitor and guardian accounts

A parent or guardian manages a junior’s account. At 18 it moves to the driver’s own email, keeping their results, entries and memberships.

  • Memberships

Club membership types bought and renewed online.

  • Households and family discounts

Families grouped as a household, with a club-set discount for each extra member.

  • Follow clubs

Drivers follow the clubs they race with and see their events.

At the circuit

Signing on, scrutineering and the gate

Digital signing on and scrutineering, a scrutineer tablet desk, tickets and passes with QR codes, reception and walk-ins.

  • Digital signing on

Drivers read the club’s declarations and sign on their phone, with a guardian signing for a junior. Officials can sign on a driver at the desk.

  • Digital scrutineering

Drivers save their equipment once in My Kit. The club sets the equipment each class needs, and the scrutineer checks each item on the card.

  • Scrutineer tablet desk

Built for a tablet in the scrutineering bay. Checks are kept on the tablet and sent when the signal comes back.

  • Tickets and passes

Spectator tickets and entry passes with a QR code, scanned or typed in at the gate.

  • Reception and walk-ins

Check in entered drivers at reception, and take walk-in entries at the desk with payment.

Your club

Your club’s own website and messages

A website for each club with its own branding, plus emails and text messages to members.

  • Club website

Each club gets its own site: events, results, live timing, signing on, membership, news, tickets and terms.

  • Your branding

Your logo, your brand colour and a circuit backdrop on your pages and result sheets.

  • Emails

Email members with campaigns, templates and automatic messages, with opens and clicks tracked and members’ preferences respected.

  • Text messages

SMS through the club’s own Twilio account, switched on by the club.

  • Volunteers

List open duties for a meeting and let people offer to help.

Analysis and data

Analysis, exports and privacy

Timing analysis reports, loop analysis, CSV and Excel exports and a clear data retention policy.

  • Analysis reports

Reports from the timing data: start-line crossings, overtakes under slow boards and yellows, missed crossings and slow laps.

  • Loop analysis

Graphs of each timing loop’s signal and noise, to spot a failing loop or a weak transponder.

  • Exports

Results and members as CSV; club reports (income, event finances, entries, memberships, contacts) as Excel or PDF.

  • Data retention

Records are kept for seven years from a person’s last activity (for juniors, until seven years after they turn 18), then anonymised, with a report to the club first.
